Usually I am opposed to new year's resolutions for exactly that reason, that most people break them almost as fast as they make them.
I do not generally make resolutions of my own but this year I'm going to sort of make an exception. Not so much a specific resolution but more of a sense purpose to deal with some of the things I've been neglecting lately. One of these is regular blogging. I believe in the power of blogs if they are well written and have something worthwhile to say. I follow several that interest me, teach me something or just make me smile.
Over the last two years I have created several blogs, for myself and for others. I have been very slack though in keeping my own blogs up to date and sharing something on a regular basis. This year I am determined to change that and participate more actively in the brave new world of social media. For the sake of simplicity I am considering merging my three blogs into a single entity but will make a final decision on that in the next few weeks.
Although I seriously doubt that I will be able to match the sterling example of friend and uber-blogger Jodene who blogs every day but I am committed to blogging at least once a week from now on.
The exact direction this blog will take will only become clear over time but my hope is that it will become a platform to connect with fellow-writers, readers and people that love the outdoors, their country and community, and life in general.
