Flip nosed his car out into the road and drove towards the stop street on the corner. As he indicated right the security officer pulled off in the opposite direction and passed him with no sign of recognition.
He drove slowly down towards the main road, knowing that the officer would by now have finished doing a quick drive-by check of the area around the Pieterse’s house and be coming around the block to intercept his route.
As he waited at the traffic light Flip glanced in the rear-view mirror and smiled slightly as he observed the other vehicle coming out of a side street a hundred metres behind. The officer hung well so back so as not to make it obvious that they were together.
Also this tactic would put anyone deciding to follow Flip between the two vehicles & thus easy to control.
