I am based in Durban (South Africa), but regularly supply content to clients in other cities and countries.

My basic rates are:

• R2.50 ($0.25) per word for straight copy/content writing (written from material you provide or based on my own research, assuming information about the topic is freely available online)
• R250 ($25) per hour for non-writing tasks (extra, in-depth research, blog management etc.)

 
For example:

• 300 word article/blog post                    R750 ($75)
• 500 word article/blog post                 R1,250 ($125)
• 1000 word article/blog post               R2,500 ($250)
